Property Taxes are collected up until January 31 of each year by the Town Treasurer and at least one-half of all property tax payments need to be postmarked by that date. The second half of the property tax payment is processed by the office of the Waushara County Treasurer. Yes, anyone renting out a residence in the Town of Marion on a limited basis, such as weekly, and those forms are available at the Marion Town Hall. You may also contact the Waushara County Chamber of Commerce regarding room tax questions.
Town Hall Information
The Marion Town Hall is located at N1279 County Road Z, Wautoma, WI. The Clerk’s office is open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. During June, July and August, the Clerk’s office is only open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The Marion Town Hall is available for rental for private parties to anyone that resides in the Town of Marion or who owns land in the Town of Marion. The rental charge is $100.00 per use. There is a potential refund of up to $50.00 if the Town Hall is properly cleaned and maintained after each use. A special arrangement/rate is available for local governmental units/Lake Management Districts who function within the Town of Marion. Applications for rental of the Town Hall can be found elsewhere on this website or are available at the Town Hall, from the Town Clerk. Completed applications must be submitted to the Town Clerk, along with the rental payment, at least two weeks prior to the monthly Town Board meeting so that the rental request can be added to the posted Town Board Meeting Agenda.
Permits Information
A Fireworks permit is required for certain types of fireworks and the application is available elsewhere in this website or may be obtained at the Marion Town Hall during office hours.
Liquor and Beer licenses, Operator Permits and cigarette license applications may be obtained elsewhere in this website or may be picked up at the Marion Town Hall. Boat Launch Parking Permit Stickers applications are available at certain boat launches in the township or at the Town Hall. Parking Permits or daily passes are required for boat trailer parking at Boat Launches in the Town of Marion on Lake Irogami, Big Silver Lake, and Little Hills Lake. The Town does not issue burning permits.
